Originally from Côte d’Ivoire, Brissy Akezizi is an autodidact. An interpreter, dance teacher, he is also a choreographer and creator of the deposited Dancehall Coupé, sponsored by Jamaican choreographer Orville Hall. His influences range from traditional African dances to modern Afro-urban dances such as Hip Hop, Dancehall, Azonto, modern jazz, contemporary dance and Latin dances. His energy, his determination and his creativity brings a real dose of freshness and energy that leaves no one indifferent. Brissy is regularly invited for workshops worldwide. In 2016 he opens with a collaborator the school of the Juste Debout School Toulouse, the first crossing of this structure where the parent company is located in Paris by Bruce Ykanji. During this period Brissy is the Artistic Director of the Juste Debout School of Toulouse. However, at the end of 2017 he decided to open his own Association „COINCIDENCE“. Dancer in perpetual artistic research, Brissy Akezizi tries to find new ways and elements of choreography and scenes.
